Mothership Decatur | Aleon Craft

If there's one thing I'm a sucker for, it is REALLY GOOD music. To say that Georgia's own Aleon Craft's new project "Mothership Decatur" is really good is an understatement. I'm still listening to it right now at 3 in the morning as I write this review. From the first time I saw Aleon perform his style reminded me so much of a modern-day Outkast/Goodie Mob/Dungeon Family effort. The thing I like about him is the fact that it's all him: his originality, his style, his presence, his eclectic creativity.

Each track on the playlist stands out in its own special way, from the humorous-yet-catchy "Donkey Kong" to the thought-provoking "Make It Out". The songs don't sound the same like most music nowadays; I was actually "inspired" to sit and listen to the entire album. You know you're listening to something unique when you're not skipping through the tracks as most consumers do with the majority of projects that have been released from over the past few years to recent.

Five stars from me to Aleon, DJ Smallz, and SMKA for a outstanding project! To find out more about Aleon Craft, visit AleonCraft.com and follow him on Twitter at @ALEONCRAFT. Standout Tracks: Donkey Kong, Make It Out, Think Twice, Yoga Flame, Auto Pilot, No Strings Attached
